Wonderful. [Seeming perfectly confident and comfortable, she turns her grin onto Clawitzer.] Should anything happen, Ms. Clawitzer, please leave it to us.
[They make their way to the coastline then, Clawitzer ushering them gently along, and considering how peaceful and quiet the coast is in comparison to last month, it's hard to imagine that anything dangerous could happen. When Clawitzer asks them both to keep an eye out for Flying-type Pokémon, Lusamine notices that there are undoubtedly more birds present than there were before. Wingull and Pelipper roost on the docks alongside a few Cramorant while the occasional Wattrel passes overhead. At one point, a small flock of Swablu, led by a single, great Altaria, also drift serenely by, apparently unaware (or at least unaffected by) the grisliness of June.
Nevertheless, living proof of what transpired still lingers in the ocean waters: Dondozo and the hidden Tatsugiri, breaching briefly to survey the area before disappearing underwater once more.
To Anasui, Lusamine remarks,] I must admit... It is a bit strange to see those two in charge of protecting the bay, isn't it? Of all Pokémon...
[But of course everything is strange in Bottlecap Bay to her. Predation is natural, yet these Pokémon live much more like humans, making cases like Dondozo's a ghoulish outlier.]
[It's nice to be taking the backseat for once. Anasui is used to letting someone else be the face of their party (to the point where he'd let Emporio do the talking than do it himself) so he naturally follows in step to Lusamine and the Clawitzer. Despite the peacefulness of the beach, Anasui is alert, head practically on a swivel as the stroll along the sand. Every Pokemon that they pass gets a second look from Anasui, as if he's very aware that anyone could attack. The ones who get the longest glare though is the duo that Lusamine points out. Anasui stares, even as the two go back underwater.]
... They're strong and tactical fighters with an extensive knowledge of the ocean. It makes sense to recruit them. [Despite his words, it's impossible to mask the underlying disdain for the duo from Anasui's voice. He had accepted his team's decision to recruit the two but still... they had been specifically been targeting Paldean-based birds like himself...]
...At least those two weren't in control of their actions at the time. I can't say the same for the other two bastards that we ended up bringing to the bay...
