[When Anasui ducks his head and sits down, he can make himself quite small, so he finds a bush to sit behind. He's not in the same bush as Laios so to not give the other man away but he's close enough so they can coordinate attacks.
Still speaking through the pearl, Anasui answers equally as softly.]
They may have reinforcements nearby but those Pokemon aren't known for hunting or fighting in a pack. It's hard to say... But we should assume they're not being arrogant. We take them quickly and quietly if possible.
[Anasui runs through the type matchups in his head and frowns.] Do you have any fighting-type moves? I don't...
[ Laios keeps still, with only his nose twitching in thought. ] It is odd, isn’t it? It’s possible the rain is effecting their behavior, but let’s stay cautious. [ Luckily, it’s only overcast for now, but who knows what longterm exposure could do to a wild Pokémon.
Just like Anasui, however, he frowns too after mentally running through his moves. ] No, I don’t, but my Electric move should hit more than just one of them. If any get paralyzed, that could give us an early edge. [ He won’t make any movements yet, not until hearing Anasui’s thoughts. ]
[Great, another factor making the enemy unpredictable. If Anasui wasn't so concerned with keeping quiet, he'd click his beak in frustration. So... if they didn't know why the enemy were acting strange then their plan needed to be flexible, hard-hitting and quick.]
I can only really target one at a time but my Lumina Crash will lower its special defense. So... here's my thoughts... I run in, hit them with it and then 'Ally Swap' with you in the bushes. That way, you'll be in a better position to let off your moves without hitting me, while dealing more damage to the target I tagged. Then, if they try attack you, I'll swap back, take the hit, and give you a chance to paralyze them again. They don't look the brightest... I imagine if we move quickly and disorientate them that way, we'll get the upper hand despite their numbers.
[He glances back at Laios. Thoughts? He'll follow Laios' lead but he's also ready to just execute his plan if Laios doesn't have anything better in mind.]
[ His tail whips silently back and forth as he listens to Anasui's plan. It's efficient, as to be expected, and he has no qualms with executing it besides one detail. ]
On the second swap—could you wait until I Bite into one? I can take a few hits, but if I can grab one to take back into the bushes... separating them would give us another advantage. [ Granted, this addendum would be heavily dependent on if Ally Swap would even work on something he'd be holding down. ] Even if it doesn't work, I can still wear them out more before you go back in.
[ He loosens his stance, keeping himself limber in preparation for a fight. ] Ready when you are, Anasui.
Hmmm... I don't know if Ally Swap will work like that but worth a shot. It'll be interesting to test nonetheless.
[Anasui nods. He takes a deep breath, steadies himself and then sprints forward. The unsuspecting two Gumshoos and Zangoose don't even have time to yell before Anasui lands right in front of the closest Gumshoos. With a yell, Anasui lets loose a peculiar pink-blue light from his body right into the Gumshoos. The Gumshoos yells and staggers back and Anasui turns his head towards the bush he knows Laios is at.
The enemies have a chance to get a hit on Anasui before he makes another move but, regardless if they hit or not, Anasui will stick to the plan and 'Ally Swap' with Laios. Go dog boy go!]
[ Laios nods at Anasui's words, even if it may not be visible. Silently, he disconnects their psychic link. His ears are enough to listen to other's movements as he prepares for the impending Ally Swap. Despite the fight that's about to ensue, the building adrenaline gets a smile out of him, ready for what's next.
Once the scuffle starts, Laios perks up from the bush, locking eyes with the Espathra before offering another nod. Just like that, he feels the world around him shift before he can even blink. For a second, he takes a moment to catch up with himself, the suddenness of it all at least keeping their foes off-guard long enough for him to build up the energy to unleash a Discharge.
Sparks fly all around, hitting the Zangoose at lease with enough power to paralyze it. One Gumshoos stumbles back, but the other manages to evade it entirely before lunging right at the Boltund. Quickly, he lets out a Roar to push it away, before rushing at it to pin it down for a Bite.
Before his teeth sink in, he calls back: ] Anasui, now!
[Anasui is used to the swaps, so he recovers quickly from the sudden change in position. He has to admit, Laios was as strong as he was adaptable - That Discharge did some significant damage. And he handles the three-on-one like a champion. Anasui watches the Boltund move and watches him pin the opponent down. As planned, he uses Ally Swap again, switching their positions.
Unfortunately, Ally Swap doesn't work on opponents, so only Laios is sent back to the bush in Anasui's place. However, Anasui appears right on top of the Gumshoos, which makes the poor Pokemon cry out in pain as instantly over a hundred extra pounds is pressed on top of it. Anasui instantly turns and Pecks at the nearby, paralyzed Zangoose, making the slowed Pokemon hiss in frustration.
However, the Gumshoos that was roared back quickly surges back to Anasui. It's clear they have no idea what's going on but they're getting attacked! It uses Bite onto Anasui's flank, making the man hiss loudly in pain.]
Get the hell off! [Anasui groans. That hit him harder than he thought it would. The Espathra tries to shake it off to no avail. He snarls.] Laios! Get ready to switch again! [If Laios confirms, he'll swap places with the other man. However, now wouldn't be a bad time for both of you to frontline.]
